This Earth Day, Laurentian SETAC members were proud to support local environmental efforts in Burlington and Guelph.

We are hiring an individual to work in an aquatic ecotoxicology lab at McMaster University with Dr. Karen Kidd and her group to study the effects of point and non-point sources of contaminants on aquatic ecosystems. 

In March and April 2025, Laurentian SETAC volunteers judged primary, intermediate, and senior-level science fair projects at the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair in Hamilton, Ottawa Regional Science Fair, and Peterborough Regional Science Fair. Laurentian SETAC sponsored two awards at each fair to projects that conducted research in a field related to environmental chemistry, pollution, contamination, remediation, environmental protection, ecology, or toxicology.
