BOARD ELECTIONS 2026

We are currently accepting nominations for members to join the L-SETAC Board of Directors. There are five board positions available on the L-SETAC Board of Directors this year, 3 members at large, 1 student representative, and 1 treasury position.

Nomination Period: April 1st to May 8th

Voting Period (if necessary): May 9th to June 5th

Announcement of new BOD members: June 9th (Annual General Meeting)

TIMELINE

This is a great way to get involved with Laurentian SETAC and have an influence on the direction and activities of the chapter. We ask that successful regular board member candidates serve a 3 year term and that student representatives serve a 2 year term.

Our student representatives serve their 2 year terms staggered every other year, to facilitate training and knowledge transfer, so this year’s student rep will have a peer to mentor them this year, and then next year that mentorship role will be transferred to this year’s elected student rep.

You do not need to be nominated by another member. If you are interested in joining the board, please feel free to nominate yourself. Details about the duties of a board member can be found at the link below.

Laurentian SETAC is a completely volunteer driven organization. We are the most active chapter in all of SETAC North America. This would not be possible without the commitment of our members who are serving on our various committees and Board of Directors. Please consider bringing your skills to the board and making L-SETAC even better!
