This Earth Day, Laurentian SETAC members were proud to support local environmental efforts in Burlington and Guelph.
Burlington Beach Cleanup – April 19, 2025
On Saturday April 19th, Laurentian SETAC participated in Earth Day At The Beach, organized by BurlingtonGreen and the Rotary Club of Burlington Central. LSETAC members picked up litter from the Burlington shoreline, including many macroplastics. We encourage you to get out in nature and clean up your local environment, one piece of litter at a time!
Hanlon Creek Forest Planting – April 26, 2025
The following weekend, members supported the Rotary Club of Guelph’s tree planting event at Hanlon Creek. Volunteers from across the area helped with the planting over 1,400 native trees and shrubs to help restore habitat, improve biodiversity, and build climate resilience.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in giving back to nature this Earth Day. We’re proud to support community-led actions for healthier communities!
